I got a
2009 Honda Fit Sport. It came out like a little over a week ago so I had to pay sticker for the car. It is definitely pricey for such a small car with a 1.5 liter engine.
I got a small car so it is easier to park at work. Parking is really limited at work. I park on the street in the morning (2 hours only) and move into the parking lot after lunch. Even after lunch I have to spend time looking for parking. Half the parking lot is dirt and rocks too. The company hired 2500 garment workers so far this year, so parking is getting tighter.

I officially don't have a car now. I'm going to return the rental this morning. I decided to not get my car repaired and sold it to a junk/salvage yard. It has been a hectic couple of weeks.
Interesting article about Walmart getting sued by employees for having a retirement plan with high fees.
We should all be concerned with fees, commissions, and bogus charges.
Here is a question for all of you.
Scenario 1 : 8% annual return (after 1.2% fees) over 40 years with 12k addition every year.
VS.
Scenario 2: 9% annual return (after 0.2% fees) over 40 years with 12k addition every year.
What is the difference after 40 years?

Happy Birthday Will Chen!
Taxes are due in 6 days. You can still contribute to your Roth IRA for 2007 up until April 15th. Vanguard.com is really good place to open one. They have really low fees. Low fees and diversification are the most important ingredients in a successful retirement portfolio. Don't have a clue about mutual funds or stocks to buy when you start a Roth? If you are going to retire around 2045 then buy VTIVX. Takes about 30 minutes to open one.
